Horbling

Hi, we are Karen and Dave, your landlady and landlord. Karen was born in Redcar and when she left college started her career in retail management. After two years she moved into the restaurant trade. Three years ago, Karen moved to Lincolnshire and joined the civil service. Dave was brought up in the pub trade. His grandparents, Ernest and Gwen Randall had four pubs during their lives, the last one being the Nont Sarahs Hotel situated high on the Pennines overlooking Scammonden dam and Huddersfield in West Yorkshire. After a 22 year career as a musician in the Royal Air Force, Dave ended up at RAF Cranwell and bought a house in Sleaford. Before taking over as the landlord of The Plough, he worked as the Assistant ICT Systems Manager at Kesteven & Sleaford Girls High School. It was while playing piano for the school production of ‘Fame’ that he met Karen, who was in the audience watching her cousin perform.
